The Pinnacle Winds Concerto Competition is your opportunity to perform as a featured soloist with Pinnacle Winds, a professional concert band. This competition is designed specifically for dedicated high school band musicians who are ready to challenge themselves artistically and perform at the next level.

Important Dates

Registration Deadline: March 16, 2026
Auditions: March 28, 2026
Performance: May 17, 2026

Who Can Apply?

• High school band students
• Students prepared to perform a concerto or major solo work

Requirements?

• A band accompaniment must be available
• Band director recommendation required

Awards

1st Place — $500
2nd Place — $250
3rd Place — $100

What You’ll Experience

• Perform a 6–8 minute solo work or concerto movement
• Share the stage in a public concert setting
• Collaborate with Pinnacle Winds, a premier professional wind ensemble
• Receive written adjudication feedback
• Compete alongside other outstanding student musicians

Three finalists will be selected.
All finalists will receive professional feedback to elevate their musicianship.
